The Hanging Tree - for CBTDJ

Hey all, here is a design I did for the CBTDJ, a project Doompuppet at He-Man.Org came up with. This is a character / location I call the Hanging Tree, and he is an Abyssian executioner...

Update: Well, sadly, CBTDJ is now a little defunct :(

So I've re-christened this guy Gallows, the hanging tree, evil warrior and chief interrogator (over on the He-Man.org boards.)

The Spider...

This was a character called Spider, which I created years ago (Probably 1999 or 2000) for a fantasy concept I was working on at the time, which has since somewhat morphed into what Asura is now. I was reminded of him by some art on a friends site because his power was that he was one with the shadows (in fact he is shown holding a shadow-blade here) and their art was of a being who also moved through and could control the shadows... I guess great minds really do think alike ;)

Lorica of Latélo

This is a concept drawing of Lorica of the Latélo Faction. They are the lords of the silt around Asuras tropical southern islands. I may develop their design a bit more so that it is less anthropomorphic, but I like this drawing as of right now.

Inundaré of Makaras

This is a concept piece of Inundaré, a soldier in the Faction of Makaras, an oceanic race of water controllers.

The Factions of Asura -First Post

This is my first post here. I am not a very experienced blogger, but I wanted to get something up on the net to communicate and develop my ideas in a realm other than my own imagination. I have in my mind a concept about a strange and alien world, which I call Asura. It is a place of obscure origins and home to several unique factions. These warring factions each consist of a race of super-powered beings who use varying abilities; including magical, technological, and biological weapons in their quest for dominance. I hope to get some art and a more detailed introduction up here soon. Any feedback (constructive criticism, please, I didn't create this to get trashed) would be very welcome, and so feel free to write to me at mikeadams@mail.com and I look forward to hearing from you. ~Mike
